Ambient Energy Absorption: Olivia absorbs the energy found in the
air at any time of the day or night; the energy that radiates off of
living things, electricity lines, machinery, the sun, and so on.
Energy
Blasts: Olivia can discharge the energy she absorbs. The energy
appears as bright white electricity, but does not conduct as such. It
won’t go through metal, it won’t go through water, and it has to be a
direct hit to be effective.
Energy Burst: Olivia can discharge the energy she absorbs in one
large burst. It radiates outwards from her in all directions. The
power of the burst is proportional to the amount of energy she has in
her. If she does it after draining herself, the burst will be
small…if it is at the end of a long day, it will be devastating.
Energy Flight: Olivia can also discharge the energy through the
bottoms of her feet and palms of her hands as propulsion in flight.
She can also use this to repel people from her.
Weaknesses: Olivia must dispel the energy she absorbs or
it can burst from her randomly both harming herself and others. She
needs to expel most of it through violent blasts, or a long flight.
Olivia
is the daughter of Franklin M. Foster, the former CEO of Fostermill.
She was the heir of a cereal king…and her life was beautiful because
of it. She went to the finest schools, had the finest clothes, and
never was left to want. She watched her father rule from his high
seat, and his reign was not merciful. Franklin Foster was a monster,
ruthless and seemingly devoid of emotion.
Through
the years of controlling the company his own father had created,
Franklin was able to spread his empire through more than just cereal
and grains. He was digging his hands into everything, finance, real
estate, the stock market, and entertainment industry. People thought
at one time he was spreading himself and the company too thin, until
every endeavor he went into succeeded.
Olivia
learned how to treat people in following her father’s footsteps. He
was cruel to the help, to his own wife, but not his only child,
Olivia. She became her father’s spitting image. She is ruthless,
cold, and hard hearted.
When it
was found that she was a mutant, her father put so much into
concealing this, including building a facility in which she could
harmlessly expel her energy. In a heated argument, one night, her
mother threatened to kill her father. Olivia took this threat to
heart and she sent a bolt of energy through her mother’s chest,
killing her instantly. She feared her father would be angered by
this, when in reality, he couldn’t have been happier. He had wanted
Carol dead for some years, but didn’t know the avenues in which to go
down.
Over
the years, Olivia grew to love the business, and was becoming her own
woman and powerhouse in her father’s company. Not even she avoided
nepotism. She became the vice-president by the time she was
twenty-seven. This appeared to be her glass ceiling. Her father, of
course, planned to leave the company to her upon his death, or when he
became too old to run the place, but this wasn’t fast enough.
One
night, after dinner, before she would head to the chamber her father
built for her, she walked in on him and his brandy and cigar. After a
few minutes of hesitation, she sent a bolt of energy into him,
stopping his heart before he would even know what hit him.
The
guilt of her ill begotten place, it started twisting her mind. She
would often dream of her father, and she began to believe he haunted
her. Instead of using the chamber, she began to go out into the city
to kill people with the power she absorbed. One particular night, she
happened to go into the depths of the City’s belly, into the Kitchen,
and while she tortured helpless people to death, she was interrupted
by Daredevil. Because of the ensuing chase and fight, her being a
mutant was brought out into the public. She lost her position in the
company and became a fugitive when she escaped prison for the murder
of her mother, father, and countless others.
She’s not trying to fund
her criminal ways by robbing banks and other larger businesses. She
has a driving need to kill Daredevil for what he’d done to her.
