Powers:

Efficient Metabolism: Elspeth needs to eat and sleep very little to keep going. On average, she needs to eat a meal per day and sleep an hour a day.

Enhanced Senses: Elspeth has acute hearing; she is able to single out conversations at great distances. She also has acute vision, she is able to focus on an object or person up to a half mile in distance, if line-of-sight is clear. She has a heightened sense of smell; she is able to track by smell.

Enhanced Speed, Strength, and Agility: Meant to be the perfect soldier, Elspeth was created to be able to run in short bursts of speed up to 60 miles per hour; she also has excellent stamina at normal human speeds. Elspeth can lift and/or carry up to 750 pounds for short amounts of time; she has excellent stamina while carrying weights under 300 pounds. Elspeth's grace is equal to that of an Olympic class gymnast.

Regeneration: Moderate. Elspeth can heal surface and small wounds, such as stab wounds or bullet holes. This makes her less susceptible to illness, poisons, or toxins, but not immune. Larger wounds will heal faster than a normal human, but will take time. Regrowing a finger would take months.

Power Limits:

The longer she sleeps or the more she eats in a day, the more stamina she ends up having. If she were to not eat or not sleep, she would suffer the same effects of mal-nutrition and sleep deprivation normal people would.

Elspeth's abilities are granted to her by the splicing of certain animal DNA with her own. She gains the advantages of such, but also suffers drawbacks. Of her feline DNA, she tends to be on the promiscuous side, she searches for a way to scratch that itch. Of her hawk DNA, she has the tendency to eat rare or raw foods, and is a strict carnivore.

The regeneration is not strong; a battle will require rest afterwards, no matter the circumstances. While she can regrow limbs, it takes a great deal of time and rest. The more she sleeps or eats in a day, the faster her regeneration of larger wounds is.

Personality:

Elspeth is stoic and at times can seem cold and distant. When she works, her focus is on the job at hand, no matter what outside influences try to weigh her down. There are very few times when she lets those emotions out that made her the imperfect soldier she is. When her guard is down, she will laugh and joke, cry, or scream; her guard is rarely down.

History:

Elspeth was meant for great things in the field of combat. She was specially designed to go longer, harder, and faster than any other soldier a person could find. She was supposed to take orders without hesitation or emotions getting in the way. She was even about to go into mass production. But there was a hang up: patient 1 had emotions.

It was back to the drawing boards for the team who were trying to manufacture the perfect soldier, but what would they do with this little girl? The overseeing commander, Gregory Devlin and his wife had just found out that they could not conceive children. Rebecca jumped at the chance to raise this little girl, but Gregory would have it done his way.

There was a strict schedule; she knew when to eat, sleep, dress, study, practice, and play. There wasn't much play involved. Elspeth was raised as if she were in a military boot camp all of her life. While Rebecca wanted the little girl to go into ballet, she went into various fighting classes, such as Karate or Tae Kwan Do. She learned many languages, and despite emotions...she learned how to take orders. She, however, did not know of her true origins, or why she had abilities even as a child.

When Rebecca felt she was old enough, no matter what her husband said, she sat Elspeth down and told her the truth. It hurt to hear that she was not born, but made. It hurt to hear that instead of being conceived like a normal child in an act of love, but spliced together DNA in a Petri dish. Elspeth left home to do a little soul searching, and it led her to Aleksander Trevalyan and Commodore Security Services, Inc. She is a stellar employee, still prone to following orders...sometimes blindly.
