Telekinesis: Limit: Object manipulated must be touched "Tactile Telekinesis"

Beth has the ability to maneuver and effect objects she touches with telekinesis up to one ton. She is able to put up to, but not exceeding, one ton of force behind her touch, such as punches, and/or kicks. With concentration she is able to stop oncoming projectiles up to one ton in weight that are coming at her (bullets, missiles, knives, etc.) Without concentration (not knowing these objects are coming) she is unable to stop them and can become impaled or shot (She must know what direction they are coming from. In a fight with multiple guns or knives in play, she can only stop bullets or knives from one shooter or thrower. Others in the fight will/can hit her.) Through this ability she is able to manipulate herself and up to one ton of weight and fly (meaning she can carry others in flight as long as she is touching them).

Skills: Beth is an excellent marksman with pistols and rifles. She is good with picking locks, disabling security systems, and knife work (close fighting and throwing).

Equipment/Wealth:

Beth has a good variety of knives, no swords, but knives. She has a few pistols, and a couple rifles. She also owns security disarming devices, such as decoders, and code scramblers. She also has a nice set of lock picks. She owns a black newer model SUV, a lap top, a pda, and a cell phone. Beth is modestly wealthy, owning a new apartment which she has modified with several hiding spots for herself and weapons. She also has a top of the line safe.

History:

Beth was born to a very devoted a loving set of parents. They did everything to make sure she was happy and well provided for. She had a normal life.  She chose to follow her father’s footsteps. He was a military man, and so during high school she participated in her local ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program.

She joined the Army soon and moved up in the ranks. She was so good at what she did that she was trained to do black ops missions. Her first Black Ops mission was a particularly grizzly one, she got in a close knife fight with a man, when she thought he was dead, she seemed to relax a bit, but soon was horrified that he got back up. She learned she was fighting a mutant. During the scare, she would soon find out that he wasn’t the only mutant in the skirmish. In panicked fear of the mutant that just wouldn’t seem to die, she grabbed his head, intent on breaking his neck, but instead ripped his head clean off, finally ending the fight. She disposed of the body so she would not be found out, and was happy to hide her true nature. She was happy to follow orders and do her job, until her job meant killing her own kind. Seeking out mutants to kill her commander seemed to have his own agenda. She refused to follow orders, outing her as a mutant and threatening her brilliant career. Her commanding officer, instead, captured her and put her through a secret mutant experimentation program that was looking for a cure or a way to control mutants indefinitely.

Over the years she became angry and jaded. When her captors thought she was under the influence of their drug to control her, she was able to break free and escape. That was when she ran into a man by the name of Mercer Dolan. He was a free lance assassin. He took her under his wing, being a mutant as well, and he felt her skills learned in the Black Ops unit would give her a promising career in this field. She grew to trust him and eventually love him. The next few years she blindly trusted this man, who was actually using her for his own gains. He was unfaithful, and he soon proved to be a betrayer. On a job, her mark spoke of her danger, she then found out Mercer had taken a bribe from the mark and was planning to kill Beth.

Knowing that he had lied to her and betrayed her trust, she stabbed him in the chest and then slit his throat not only in revenge, but to take his place.  She used his contacts in L.A. to make money and a name for herself. She took the jobs he would have. Making a name for herself, however, got her the attention of police and other investigators, even those involved with the government. She took all her possessions and ‘disappeared’ to New York to start fresh.

Since arriving, she's been contacted by two members of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Toad and Mystique, and she is now counted among their ranks.

She's since lost contact with the Brotherhood and is a bit grateful for it, their style of evil just isn't her cup of tea.  She's been doing mercenary work, steering clear of assassinations if possible.  Lately she's helped two Avengers break up a hostage situation at a wedding reception, and it seems like she may be starting to regret some things that she's done.

Personality:       

Beth does have a sense of humor, and she does have a softness buried deep, but she doesn’t show it.  Most times she is cold and deadly.  She knows just how to use her appearance to take men, and some women, off guard.  She uses her looks and skills to get close to people she needs to, to steal or worse.  A person could get into her heart and warm graces, but it would take a great deal of time, and trust, which she doesn’t give out easily.  She is, at most times, stoic and stone-like.  She never wears a smile unless she intends to use it for darker purposes, or someone did the nearly undoable, and got her trust.

Notes:  She will NOT take mutants as marks, and will not take innocents as marks either.
