Allsun is able to absorb different kinds of
energy and project it back as blasts, shields, and able to use it as
propulsion to fly. The energy she can absorb is not limited to just
energy found in electricity, the sun, or fire, but energy given off by
living creatures, and plants. The energy she absorbs from creatures
and plants does not affect their strength as it is simply the ambient
energy they give off at all times. She cannot take energy from a
person to weaken them or harm them, as this is not the way of her
power absorption.
Her
blasts can be shot from her hands and are equal to in power as the
amount of energy she puts into them. She can also release all of the
energy she has in one large radius attack centered from her in
something she calls Nova. Energy in a nova is equal to in power as
the amount of energy as she has left in her body. Once she uses the
Nova power, she is drained and needs to reabsorb energy from her
surroundings.
Her shields can block energy attacks by
absorbing them, or physical attacks by becoming solid. Her shields
appear to be heavy white-blue smoke or fire moving along her form.
They are very visible when on, and she cannot hide them. She needs to
coat herself in this shield in order to fly. She is able to carry
others in flight, so long as she has enough absorbed energy to do so.
When she is flying, her shield’s coloring helps to camouflage her
against the sky. From her vantage, the shields are very transparent,
and do not affect her field of vision. The feel of her shields is
something like very smooth lukewarm silk. She can send shields around
other objects or people while not touching them.
Allsun can absorb the energy from fire and
electric based attacks but cannot block or absorb the heat given off
by either. While she can block the fire from lighting her clothes,
hair, or skin on fire, she cannot block the heat of fire or
electricity and it can still burn her skin
Allsun is very susceptible to psychic attacks
and control. Because of this she’s purchased psi-block equipment to
keep herself from falling under the control of telepaths or other
psychics.
Allsun Caitir Breasal was born the youngest of
four children. The youngest child usually holds the place in the
spotlight, but Allsun’s all too busy parents were a bit neglectful of
their children. This treatment was the cause of Allsun’s rebellious
nature.
As a young child, Allsun often threw tantrums,
when this didn’t get the desired effect; she relied on far more
devious tactics to get what she wanted. She learned at a very early
age how easy it was to flash a pouty smile in order to get what she
wanted, she also learned how easy a person with an angelic face is
trusted, which made it easy for her to steal.
This sort of behavior only lasted for so long.
By the time she was ten, she had to resort to more sneaky maneuvers.
She ganged up with a few of her friends who also had a sporting hobby
of theft, and they’d run diversionary tactics. By the age of twelve
she had been arrested six times already. Her parents were at their
wits end and decided to send her to a military academy.
Military school changed her for the better. She
learned discipline and honor; she also learned to follow orders. By
the time she was eighteen, she had become a very respectable and well
behaved young woman. Her intelligence got her noticed by the Air
Force, and her skill at being a pilot got her noticed by NASA.
During a routine mission of fixing a satellite,
there were some complications during reentry. Unknown by her, another
of her associates who was unable to make this flight, had sabotaged
the ship in order to gain Allsun’s more respectable position. During
reentry, she was exposed to radiation and solar energy, which sparked
some latent mutations.
Her
shields had saved her, and she was the only survivor. Found unharmed
amongst the wreckage, there was a lot of speculation that she was the
culprit of this sabotage. When it came to light that her colleague
had done this, she was acquitted of all suspicion.
After the appearance of her powers, she’s gotten
into a few scraps. A few of them have left her hurt. She’s learned
through these scraps that she is more sensitive to psychic or psionic
attack and this has pushed her to getting technology to help her deal
with it.
Her vigilante behavior lately has caught the
attention of those in the X-Men and she’s taken steps into
seeking help honing her new powers.
