Powers:

Raise Dead:

Aaron has the extraordinary ability to raise the dead.  Once raised, they have the personality they had in life, but are driven to do Aaron's will.  The zombies remain raised for two weeks, after which he must return them to the cemetery he found them in.  Their souls are not harmed in any way by this, they are simply returned to the body for a short while, and then sent back.  The zombies he raises are slow, but have superhuman strength, they, however, cannot spread their affliction upon others through a bite.

Grave Sense:

Aaron can feel the presence of a grave, whether marked or unmarked, whether old or new.

Control Undead:

Aaron has the ability to control any undead around him.  He must use a lot of willpower in order to take control of another's undead from them.  Vampires are harder to gain control of, but it is not impossible.

Undead Shield:

Aaron can create a shield not unlike a force field that blocks only undead, regardless of who controls the undead.  This shield is very effective against vampires, zombies, or any other sort of undead.

Banish Undead:

Aaron can send his raised dead back to the realm of the dead.  He cannot banish undead of another's creation or vampires, but trying to use this skill on them can harm the undead he targets.

Power Limits:

Aaron's abilities are gifted to him through an amulet given to him by his mentor.  If he happens to be without this amulet, he has no powers whatsoever.  The amulet is, however, hard to get him to part with, since the first time he put it on, it embedded itself into the skin of his chest.  Without cutting it out of him, it is not possible to pull it from his person.

The undead he creates can not be raised from corpses older than 10 years in age to be useful in combat.  After that they are more or less simply bones.  The older the dead is that he raises, the less useful in combat it would be.  However, he can raise the dead as he pleases, even up to thousands of years old.  This is one way he can learn about past events, and local history around where the body was found.

Other side-effects of the amulet:

The amulet also makes Aaron able to understand, speak, and read any language at all that he hears or attempts to read.  He has to hear or see at least one sentence of the language spoken or written before he can speak, understand, or write it.  It also slows his aging down, he ages 1 year for every 10 that pass.

Skills:

Not only is Aaron good with speaking, understanding, and reading languages, he also has a keen talent for writing them.  His penmanship is impeccable, both beautiful and legible in any language he writes.  He also has a skill for knowing things.  He's well educated, he has studied particularly hard in the areas of anatomy, medicine, the arcane, the occult, and history.  He keeps himself active, yet is not in any way a fighter of any sort.  He has his undead for that.

Personality:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but he's self assured, on the edge of being cocky.  He has tendencies of being a smug know-it-all.  He has no qualms about letting others know is right on a subject, to the point of rubbing it in.  He, however, has a quality that seems to compensate for his cocky nature...his saving grace, you might say.  Aaron is charismatic.  He oozes sexuality and that air that makes a person want to tell him everything.  He can be sweet and selfless, but that is rare.  Just when you think he's an ass, and there's nothing you can do about it, he pulls out a charming smile, an understanding ear, and tells you everything is alright.  He's the type of man you love to hate...and love to love.

History:

Born and raised right here in Washington D.C., Aaron is the son of proud parents who also own and run a funeral home and mortuary.  The thought of a child being brought up in an environment like that may seem a bit dark, but on the contrary, his life was, and is, rather bright.

When he was seven, his parents hired Patricia Ramsey, a skilled, if not a little unsettling, mortician.  She was a striking woman, tall with dark hair and pale skin.  She immediately saw the spark of intelligence in Aaron that was rare for boys his age.  She began to tutor him in the ways of the arcane.

He attended Georgetown University so he could remain close to his family, and to Patricia, who over the years did not seem to age at all.  He kept up with his studies at school, learning to be a doctor, and with his studies with Patricia.  It was when he turned 25 that he graduated and became Dr. Aaron Morell, Patricia gave him a graduation present.  It was a lovely amulet that seemed to depict both the angel of life and the angel of death.  The amulet was not unlike hers.  He was horrified when he first put it on, it sank into the skin of his chest, it was seamless and didn't appear to be gruesome, but it was still a shocking experience.  Patricia told him what she was, and what he had then become.  A necromancer.

While honing his skills of controlling the dead, he also continued with school.  He now has a PhD in the science of all things arcane.  His intelligence seems to hold no bounds, but so does his arrogance.  He's now in Washington D.C. still working with Patricia and finding more about himself every day.

Points of Interest:

Aaron once had a romantic relationship with Patricia that has now faded into a very close friendship.

Is something of a lady's man, this only adds to his ego.

He is quite wealthy
